This episode has more fights, less pantsu, but not enough Witches. Same old Major and Yoshika kicking Neuroi´s ass.
In this episode, Neuroi´s are attacking the fleet which Yoshika and Major Sakamoto are on. After Major equips her Striker Unit and leaves to fight, Yoshika is left alone wondering what she should do. She understands that she´s useless, but still wants to save everyone so she goes and equips Striker Unit and flies to help Major. I´m not surprised at all that Yoshino´s one of those clichéd mecha pilots who can control their machine right away. Thank god she didn´t destroy enemy Neuroi with her first try.

As I already mentioned, there wasn´t much Witches besides Major and Yoshika. Perrine, our Frenchwoman, had some yuri rage because Major was holding Yoshika in her arms after the battle, but that´s it. Major is as cool as ever, but Yoshika is annoying girl who keeps repeating “I´ll protect everyone”. She´s one of those protagonists that doesn´t have any feeling in their words. She just says that, because that´s what naive heroine is supposed to say. I don´t really care about her ups and downs, so let´s keep this post short.
Luckily, episode 3 will finally show us other Witches.
I find Miyafuji motivation to fight the most interesting because of the maturity display in the next few episodes. Cliché yes but she’s fully understands her position and her goal. I do feel that her word does carry an air of sincerity but she’s an earnest person so it’s expected.
To each his own I suppose.
