Talk about Yoite continues with theories and not-so-serious screencaps…
I was right at the last time, when I thought that he might be suicidal. This episode confirmed that he is in his own way, Yoite asked Miharu to erase his whole existence. Or more truthfully, he blackmailed Miharu to promise that he will do it once he learns how to control Shinrabanshou´s power. To achieve his goal, Yoite will help Miharu from the shadows to become the next ruler of Nabari.
It´s not completely clear yet where Yoite´s death wish comes from. Maybe he can´t stand himself because of those horrible things he´s done with Kira. He wants to erase his doings by nullifying his own existence. I´m wondering that if his wish comes true, will the people he killed be brought back alive? If Yoite´s never been born, those people wouldn´t have died in the first place. But if Miharu actually grants his wish, it would cause an huge disorder in time and space. His victims´ lives must be recreated, their personal life must be made. If his wish is fulfilled, it will affect many people´s life, in some cases change them entirely. However, that probably won´t happen because Yoite will likely die before Miharu learns how to use Shinrabanshou. He´s already in a bad condition because Kira keeps shortening his lifespan, it´s only a matter of time before he dies. And even if Kira won´t kill him, he might sacrifice himself for Miharu´s sake at some point. Yoite´s one of those characters that you know will die before the series end. That´s a shame because he´s one of the best characters of Nabari no Ou.
And now, to brighten up the heavy mood caused by Yoite´s wish, here´s some not-so-serious Yoite/Miharu action:

Common gay phrase

“What´ya doing guys? Can I join you too?”

Surprise buttsecks

Stockholm Syndrome
I´m wondering that if his wish comes true, will the people he killed be brought back alive?
You raised an interesting question. But that seems quite impossible. After all, he’s not asking for miharu to turn back time and erased him from that time. I’m wondering though why can’t yoite just settle with his own death. Death = erase existence, right? Why can’t he just commit suicide? Does this imply that he can’t die by ordinary means?

He did say that when he dies just about everyone he’s used his technique on dies with him, so perhaps that’s the reason he’d rather not exist in the first place (plus it takes him a level up from ‘just’ suicidal, lol)
The bamboo forest scene was funnier to me cos both their limbs were actually drawn to be thinner than BAMBOO – The anime ninja diet, just what the model ordered!

I’m not actually too sure about that. No, let me rephrase that: I agree that he will die sooner or later, but I’m not sure he will actually stay dead. If the Shinrabanshou is capable of erasing someone’s existence to such an extent that they were never even born, then reviving the dead ought to be a piece of cake.

I do not like this. I dunnoes, this episode was quite boring for me even though I fangirl over Yoite.

rei: Yes, he didn´t ask that, but if he was never even born that would have an effect on the people´s lives. His victims wouldn´t lose their lives if he never existed in the first place.
issa-sa: “plus it takes him a level up from ‘just’ suicidal” XD
Krypfto: I didn´t thought about that possibility before your comment. I pray for Shinrabanshou´s leetness that it will happen.

@ issa-sa. They only die if he leaves a piece of himself within them. If he removes it they won’t die.
Remember he pointed this out to Miharu by returning his sight and emphasizing what would happen to his friends if Miharu didn’t go along with his wishes.
I think erasing his existence does imply erasing the fact he EVER existed. If that is the case I agree that would mean rewriting an awful lot of history.
People he killed would not have been killed. At least not by his hand. If he were killing them on the orders of the Kairōshū, then if he didn’t exist. One would expect that the organization would simply have sent a different assassin.
Maybe his death is not enough to him because there is someone he regrets killing. Someone he wishes had not died by his hands. Maybe he thinks that if he didn’t exist, the outcome might have been different.
Or we’ll get to learn more of his reasons as it goes on and if that is the case (that he’s doing this out of regret) then he’ll figure out that erasing his existence won’t really change anything. Except for giving the intended victim more of a fighting chance. Although whose to say they won’t go up against someone else with Kira. So he’ll just need to accept that and accept his fate the way it is.
Damn its too early in the day for me to be thinking this hard.

Sakura: “Maybe his death is not enough to him because there is someone he regrets killing.”
I´ve been thinking about the same thing and reached a conclusion that the one he regrets may be a family member. Considering Yoite´s antisocial personality and age, it´s not a lover. It might be a close friend, but antisocialism applies to this too. But even if Yoite is antisocial, it doesn´t change the fact that (most) families stick together even if it´s members have problems.
I´m sure that future episodes will reveal the truth.

I think a family member is a definite possibility. I mean that would make the strength of his desire very understandable.
I’m still intrigued by the scene where Miharu first sees him. Almost like Miharu was thinking he’d seen him before or something.
I wonder if there was more to that.

Probably.
Or then he just sensed that both of them have same kind of power inside of them and that caused his expression.

This episode was good only for the Yoike/Miharu scenes xD the whole time Yoike and Miharu were walking along the train track i kept thinking to myself *O.O something’s gonna happen! =D hm… i hope they hug ^0^, oo secret meeting in the woods xDD and etc, etc* rofl, sorry that was my yaoi fangirl side screaming.
Then when Yoike asked Miharu to erase his existance i got my second shock of the day! *gasp! Yoike is EXACTLY like Itachi!! they have the same ‘i wish to die, life is not important to me’ kinda thoughts xD* that incrased my liking for Yoike to exponental amounts… cuz maybe Yoike will end up with a better ending than Itachi did T_T… second chance?
But when Yoike scared Miharu into the woods =.= well… i donno what i feel about the ‘deal’. So far the only characters i like in Nabari are Yoike and Miharu… so the fact that Yoike proposed he’ll kill all of Miharu’s friends didn’t bother me at all ^^” but i also didn’t want Yoike to waste more of his life energy killing pointlessly D:

its a fate that yoite brought up to life.. and a fate that some shinobi and people will die because of yoite and a fate that yoite and miharu will know each other.. and fate that yoite will disappear from the world because of kira.
*peace!!:D
