I haven´t really started this Fall season, mostly because I had so many unfinished series from previous seasons. So before I start to marathon every new show I will finish old ones. Here are some thoughs about series like Claymore and El Cazador (and something about Mushi-Uta too, ughhh….).
El Cazador
Good final. Every character got a reasonable end, no big complains. Of course I´m sad because of LA´s death, but I think that was probably one of the happy ends for him. I liked how they brought back those drag bounty hunters at the final episode. Great balance between comedy and action.
Hitohira
Man, Hitohira has a most awesome ending scene I´ve seen for a long time. Scene where Nono dance with Mugi is just lovely. Animators used some really clever camera angles which made this scene alive. But even after this eye-candy I didn´t like this series very much, ending was one of the good parts, otherwise I think Hitohira is boring. I don´t like Mugi at all, so watching her struggling was pain. I only managed to watch this because of yuri hints between Drama Club Presidents.
Claymore
As someone who haven´t read manga, I would say that anime end was okay. It got drama, character death, cool battle and main characters reunion. There´s a huge change to have a sequel. But what bothers me, is that I´ve heard that anime started to make it´s own plot at final episodes. Looks like in the manga Priscilla was supposed to be something like a final boss and Raki and Clare didn´t reunite. At the anime everything happened opposite. Everyone says that they ruined original story, so now I need to go and check up myself if it is true. I hope I will not hate anime version afterwards, because right now I think it´s one of the best fantasy animes I´ve ever seen. Can´t wait to get that gorgeous Clare figure and DVD´s. YAY for female warriors!
Gurren-Lagann
It was a great trip, no epic quest, but Gurren-Lagann still don´t go to my top10 anime list. I love this show, but to me it was just a light entertainment.
Seirei no Moribito
First it was boring, then action packed, boring again and at the end it was breath taking. This series looks so great that you want to cry. Probably one of the best CG I´ve ever seen. I loved the animation at battle scenes. So smooth. Plot was interesting. I holded my breath many times when they revealed new facts of Water Spirit inside Chagum. I loved how this show got this slice-of-life feel balanced with action.
Nana
If only end wouldn´t have left so many questions open, I would be a huge Nana-fangirl. As with Claymore, I will probably start to read manga version too, because I want to know what happened to everyone. I want to know what happened to Nana and Takumi´s marriage. Nana wasn´t wearing her diamond ring in her left ring finger at the final episode, so I´m a little concerned at what happened between them. Break up?
Zero no Tsukaima II
Zeus ex Machina. XD That´s all I have to say.
Mushi-Uta
It started as a great action series with interesting settings. So many good characters and a plot that gave something to think about. But the latter half of Mushi-Uta was horrible. They abandoned every interesting plot device and just throw in some stupid and useless bad guy, kill characters and gave some puny philosophy of life. Ugh, I feel sick after this. It was worser than Jyu Ou Sei and that´s an achviement. Tentacles…ahahahaa~~ tentacles… _| ̄|○ I wish there won´t be a second season, because I don´t want to watch this anymore. Rina´s crazy grin at episode 11 was only thing that kept me watching this.
After I made this list, I realized that most of these series have at least some yuri hints..
